Carotts

I planted plenty of carrots for us and they have lasted for a few months. Whenever I wanted to have carrots for dinner or for juicing I just walked down to the veggie patch and pulled them straight out of the garden. What a great feeling.

Roses planted.

I waited for the rose cuttings to grow roots and then I planted them out into the garden. They seem to have taken off really well.

Lavender

What country garden doesn't have lavenders? The pink one is so pretty and the purple one has taken off now that the weather has warmed up.

Plum tree update.

After the blossoms fall off the trees the fruit appears and these trees are ladened with plums.

I never knew there were so many different varieties of irises, and five of them are in my garden!

Garden Gnome

I found this little fellow in my herb garden hiding amongst the mint leaves. I think he has been there a long time and I have no plans of moving him.

The daffodils in my garden.

The garden came alive in winter with all these daffodils. It was such a delight to see all the different varieties just in our garden. Earlier in the year I bought a bag of 75 daffodil bulbs which I planted well before winter. I now know there was already an ample amount of daffodil bulbs in the ground. The first flower below (yellow petals, orange centre) I think would have to be one of the most perfect flowers I've ever seen. The minature daffodils look quite sweet, with up to seven flowers on one stem. I just loved walking around the garden finding new flowers growing, I loved looking at them all.
