Josh & Elle's Wedding

The day that brought us to Brisbane arrived and what a day it was.  The view from the Hotel room was sensational and we could see Customs House down below.

The ceremony, meal, catch up with so many people, dancing and celebrating the new union was wonderful.  Josh and Elle were so relaxed and easy going on their day wedding and we wish them all the best.  Love you guys. xxx

A Good Day.

Shopping with Jordan he was so proud of his new ugg boots perfect for home bit too warm Brissy.
Hanging with the kids at Sami & Vicki's while the guys took our mode of transport and went to a job.
Took the nephew and niece to their piano lesson.
Went shopping at Centro with Tommi and Reuben.
Picked the nephew and niece up from their piano lesson and took them home.
I felt like a I was at home dropping and picking kids up running around without the pressure it was good.
Went to Maria, William and Myf's for a lovely dinner and tour or their new home, had a brilliant time catching up. A special mention to the people who have come to visit us in Tassie, you guys are special. :)
Braved the M1 roadworks tonight and stalked a Ferrari.
Exhausted and it was only day 2!! :)

Family holiday to Brisbane begins.

We left Tassie on Wednesday morning and it was cold raining and grey, I'm not trying to make it sound horrid I love this kind of weather, however we knew a warm sunny QLD awaited us.

The plane trip was uneventful expect the bill for the food on the plane.....
We went straight to my parents over 50's independent resort style living complex, it was just beautiful. After some finnish meat pies and karjalanpiirakka we hit the pool and spa. The sense of community was so friendly and inviting and yep bang on 5pm they were all walking down to the restaurant to share a meal together, a Seinfeld episode came to mind.

The rest of the day and evening looked like this.
A drive by the old school, house, Springwood Conservation park and neighbourhoood had us all reminising of days gone by.
Berrinba East State School fundraising wine was on offer at Sami & Vicki's.
Dinner at Kam Koon was exceptional with a few rounds of Chinese whispers with 5 adults and 7 children made for some interesting and fun whispers!!
So with 6 kids, a bicycle and a our luggage crammed into the delica we headed down the M1 to Vicky Pt only to be confronted by road works so the trip was extended a little by going the back way through Shailer Park.
Our heads finally hit the pillows at 12ish and with our holiday off to a great start I was so happy to be here.

Launceston

A couple of weekends ago we had an overnighter in Launceston to celebrate my nephew's engagement (Daryl) to a lovely lady called Jessica, welcome to the family girl, we love you already!

Before the party I took the kids to the park and I found some beautiful old homes and I loved the gardens in the park of course. The occasion, company and food was so good!

The next day we had a beautiful lunch with Riikka, Aaron and my sister's family, the selection of bread on offer was spectacular.

Mulching it up.

I am doing a catch up here big time. I mulched these strawberries in November last year, as I love strawberries out of my own garden and summer was on it's way it was the best thing to do for these little beauties.

This bulb did flower and it was beautiful, however still non the wiser as to what it is called.

Snow

This was the view we had from our back porch on Tuesday morning. I've never seen so much snow on these mountains before. It was simply sunning. (Over looking our apple orchard)

I have no idea what this is, I'm looking forward to seeing what grows out of it though. Considering this is our second year in the house we are still seeing things for the first time. I love it! Does anyone know what this is?
