My first vegetable.

I was so excited to pull out my first vegetable, a suede. The motivation for planting suede in the first place was to make a finnish dish called, lanttu laatikko. (And for all my non finnish speaking friends it's a suede box). It graced my mothers table every year at Christmas and I am so happy to have the recipe now to make it myself.

Its in the first planter box you can see, it truly is amazing how one small seedling grows into such a hearty vegetable.




I served it up one evening along with a lamb roast and Jon loved it so much he finished it off in one sitting!
