Kokkola - Jon's place of birth.

So we arrived in Kokkola and spent a couple of hours walking the streets. Jon was born here 40 years ago however only lived in Finland for less than a year before his parents decided to move to Australia, he was only 10 months old.  The town has an area of old houses which were going to be pulled down to make way for apartment buildings however some people were against the idea, thankfully as they have now been beautifully renovated and give the place old world charm feel.

If you look closer you can see the bike I would own if I lived in Finland.  It's white with a basket on the front, a brown leather seat and handle bars with matching coloured tyres.  Love it!
